After serving 5 years in the US Navy as a hospital corpsman and physical therapy technician, Bert attended physical therapy school at the University of Minnesota . After graduation in 1982, he completed his military career by heading several physical therapy clinics in the Air Force. He also held many administrative positions including education officer of a major medical center, clinical supervisor of students, base fitness director of over 5000 troups. He obtained his Masters degree in Health Care Management in 1994. Since retiring from the Air Force in 1997, he has been working with the elderly in long-term care facilities and home health--building a reputation as one of the best therapist in the area. His experience in sports medicine, extensive training in manual medicine and orthopedics, and his love for the elderly have kept him at the peak of innovative treatment techniques.
